Buckeye Careers 

Buckeye Careers, within the Office of Student Life, provides a vast amount of resources and support for students seeking professional career development for undergrad, graduate, professional and post-doc levels. Resources include:

  • University-Wide Career and Internship Fair and Career Week

Walter E. Dennis Learning Center (DLC)  

The Walter E. Dennis Learning Center (DLC) provides services for students who are seeking to enhance their learning and motivation strategies. The DLC offers courses, appointments and workshops on the following topics:

  • Test-preparation strategies

Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) 

Student Life Counseling and Consultation Service (CCS) provides comprehensive mental health services to students to promote personal well-being and academic success. CCS has a culturally diverse professional staff of licensed psychologists, social workers, counselors and psychiatrists. Their services include:

  • Individual, couples and group counseling 
  • Psychiatry 
  • Nutritional counseling 
  • Outreach and workshops 
  • Crisis support and debriefing 
  • Consultation for faculty, staff and loved ones 
  • Community referral

Student Athlete Support Services (SASSO)

Serving over 1,000 student-athletes on 36 NCAA teams, SASSO provides Ohio State student-athletes with assistance in academic, athletic, personal and professional development such as:

  • Advising
  • Tutoring and study tables 
  • Student-athlete development programs 

Counselors and other staff help foster growth in decision making, planning and the fulfillment of academic, career and life goals for all student-athletes.
