Dennis Learning Center
The Dennis Learning Center (DLC), located on the 2nd floor of the Younkin Success Center, provides services for students who are seeking to enhance their learning and motivation strategies. The DLC offers courses, appointments and workshops that address the topics below.
Learning assistance provided by the DLC addresses:
- Academic motivation
- Time management
- Self-regulation strategies
- Test-preparation strategies
- Test-taking strategies
- Note-taking strategies
- Reading strategies
Courses: Three credit-bearing electives offered in partnership with the Educational Psychology program help students develop strategies for success in college. Read more about the courses through the DLC website.
Appointments: By signing up for free, individualized appointments, students can receive one-on-one assistance from a Learning Specialist. Appointments can be made online through the DLC website.
Workshops: Campus units (e.g., survey courses, student organizations) can request workshops to help groups of students maximize their academic success. During spring, individual students can register for open workshops through the DLC website.
